01 / Why choose this material
Polyamide for Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing, suitable for functional prototypes and end-use components. Allows complex geometries without dedicated supports.
Polyamide PA12 is printed layer by layer on a powder bed using Multi Jet Fusion. It allows manufacturing ducts, clips, and housings without dedicated supports. The finish is matte and slightly granular; it does not equate to a transparent or polished part.

PA12 Applications
Functional housings integrating mounting details.
Clips and ducts with complex shapes and access points for dust cleaning.
Mounting tools adapted to a specific operation or product.
Components whose geometry leverages layer-by-layer printing.
02 / A choice based on usage
These criteria help define the material, geometry, and working conditions before manufacturing.
01
For housings, ducts and details that are hard to machine. Cavities must allow the powder to be removed.
02
Define loads, fits, and critical orientation to verify if MJF suits the function.
03
Unit cost typically varies little as quantity increases. A larger run does not imply a significant per-part discount.
Indicate loads, temperature, environment, and appearance needed. If the drawing requires a specific grade, include it in the request.
03 / Finishing also counts
Define visible surfaces and the required result for your part. Requested treatments are included in the quote.
Matte and slightly granular surface typical of the process. Orientation and geometry influence the result.

Reference images: material, geometry, and surface preparation influence the outcome. Special finishes are quoted upon request.
04 / From design to quote
Multi Jet Fusion printing builds the PA12 part layer by layer on a powder bed. Afterward, it cools, the powder is removed, and the specified post-processing is performed. The design must allow for cleaning internal cavities.
Upload a 3D model per part, for example in STEP or STL. SLDPRT, X_T, X_B, IPT, CATPART, PRT, SAT, and 3DM files are also accepted. Add a PDF drawing with functional dimensions and assembly requirements.
Upload your file and request a quotePrinting tolerances depend on geometry, orientation, and material. Indicate assembly dimensions on a drawing for the team to confirm feasibility. CNC machining tolerances are not automatically applied.
The price per part usually varies little with quantity. Producing more units does not imply the volume savings achievable with machining or molds.
Parts from 5 working days after confirming the order. The quote specifies the lead time based on geometry, material, finish, and quantity.
How much it costs to manufacture
The price of printing PA12 depends on material volume, geometry, build orientation, and post-processing. Quantity usually reduces the unit cost only slightly.

Polyamide for Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing, suitable for functional prototypes and end-use components. It allows complex geometries without dedicated supports. Reference: HP 3D HR PA 12. The 175 °C corresponds to deformation under load (HDT) at 0.45 MPa; at 1.82 MPa it is 95 °C. These are not continuous use temperatures.
You can manufacture functional housings, clips, and ducts, assembly fixtures, and complex geometry parts. Multi Jet Fusion printing allows validating complex shapes without manufacturing a mold. Define the loads, environment, and finish to review the application.
MJF allows manufacturing complex geometries in polyamide, with good toughness and without dedicated supports. It is useful for functional prototypes, housings, and ducts. Wall thicknesses, access for powder removal, and part fits must be reviewed.
It should not be interpreted that way. The 175 °C of the reference material corresponds to the HDT test with a 0.45 MPa load; at 1.82 MPa the reference is 95 °C. These are deformation under load data, not a continuous use temperature.
Normally the price per part varies little with quantity. In MJF, material, printing, and post-processing costs remain per unit. To compare a series, request a quote; it is not advisable to transfer savings inherent to machining or molds.
