01 / Why choose this material
Cast polyurethane combining elasticity and transparency for prototypes and pre-production runs with a product-like appearance.
This polyurethane family combines elasticity and transparency via vacuum casting. Clarity depends on the polyurethane resin, wall thickness, curing, and mold. It allows validating visible flexible parts in a pre-production run, with behavior that must be defined for each application.

Hei-Cast T0387 values: the component ratio allows hardness levels from 30 to 80 Shore A. Tensile and elongation ranges correspond to distinct formulations and are not freely combinable. Cured material density; confirm your part's hardness.
Applications of transparent flexible PU
Prototype membranes to check shape and deformation.
Transparent protectors that allow viewing the covered surface.
Flexible elements for mechanism demonstration.
Aesthetic pre-production runs combining touch and transparency.
02 / A choice based on usage
These criteria help define the material, geometry, and working conditions before manufacturing.
01
Define hardness, thickness, and deformation. Transparency does not determine the material's touch on its own.
02
The mold and polyurethane resin condition the clarity. Specify which faces must allow visualization.
03
UV exposure, chemicals, and temperature can change performance over time.
Indicate loads, temperature, environment, and appearance needed. If the drawing requires a specific grade, include it in the request.
03 / Finishing also counts
Material and process define the surface. These are the key factors for specifying your part's appearance.
The surface reproduces the mold finish. Polyurethane resin, the pattern, and curing determine the final appearance.
Indicate visible faces and pattern finish. Mold texture and wall thickness influence part appearance.
Include the expected appearance and usage conditions in your request to confirm the quote.
04 / From design to quote
Transparent flexible PU manufacturing starts with a pattern defining the shape and texture. From it, the silicone mold is prepared, vacuum casting is performed, and the polyurethane resin is cured before extracting and finishing the part.
Send a 3D model per part in STEP or a native supported format: SLDPRT, X_T, X_B, IPT, CATPART, PRT, SAT, or 3DM. Attach a PDF drawing for threads, inserts, or specific tolerances. STL is accepted only for 3D printing.
Upload your file and request a quotePolyurethane resin, the pattern, the mold, and shrinkage during curing influence the dimensions. Attach functional dimensions to confirm feasibility; CNC machining tolerances should not be transferred directly.
The pattern and mold are distributed among the pre-production parts. Geometry, polyurethane resin, and mold life condition the quantity and cost.
Parts from 10 working days after confirming the order. The quote specifies the lead time based on geometry, material, finish, and quantity.
How much it costs to manufacture
The price of a transparent flexible PU part includes pattern preparation, the silicone mold, polyurethane resin, and vacuum casting. Quantity and finishes determine how the pre-production cost is distributed.
Check the catalog example to compare materials. To know the cost of your design, request a quote with your 3D file.

You can manufacture prototype membranes, transparent protectors, flexible demonstration elements, and aesthetic pre-production runs. Vacuum casting in silicone molds allows repeating shapes and textures for a pre-production run. Define loads, environment, and finish so we can review the application.
Transparent flexible PU vacuum casting is a catalog option. It allows validating protectors, membranes, and product-like parts. Hardness, clarity, and resistance must be confirmed for the polyurethane resin and selected thickness.
The 3D printing TPA in the catalog is opaque, so it does not provide that transparency. If you need to combine elasticity and clarity, vacuum casting of transparent flexible PU is the process to consider for the pre-production run.
It depends on the formulation, thickness, mold finish, curing, and the absence of bubbles. Aging due to light, heat, or contact products must also be considered. Specify usage and visible surfaces when requesting a quote.
